Place the rice in a sieve and rinse it 4-5 times under cold running water until the water runs almost clear. Then, take a medium-sized pot, heat 1.5 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat, add the rinsed rice, and stir well so that the rice grains are coated with oil.

Salt the rice, pour in 300 ml of water, and bring the contents to a boil over high heat. Then, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice simmer for 18-20 minutes.

After this time, remove the medium-sized pot from the heat and let the rice rest, covered, for 5-10 minutes. Before serving, fluff the rice with a fork and serve it warm.
