Preparation method
Place the rice in a small saucepan, add 400 ml of water, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Meanwhile, place the pitted dates, 20 g of raisins, 100 ml of milk, and 300 ml of water in a blender. Blend until you get a smooth mixture. Pour the resulting liquid over the rice in the saucepan and let it simmer over low to medium heat for 20–25 minutes.
After this time, take half of the cooked rice and blend it in a blender with the remaining 150 ml of milk until creamy. Return the blended rice to the saucepan with the rest of the rice, add the ground cinnamon, and cook over low heat, stirring continuously, for 2–3 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and thickens.
Chef's tip
For a more intense flavor, you can add a little vanilla extract or grated orange zest during cooking.
