Preparation method

If using meat, pre-cook it in hot oil until golden and tender. After cooking the meat, remove it from the pan and set it aside. In the same pan, add another 1 tablespoon of oil, then add the onion and garlic. Sauté them until soft and fragrant.

If you want to add egg to Nasi Goreng, make a space in the middle of the pan with the onion and garlic and crack the egg into it. Stir until cooked, then incorporate it into the rest of the ingredients.

Add the carrot and peas to the pan and sauté them for a few minutes until they start to soften.

Chef's tip

Nasi Goreng is a versatile dish, so you can add or remove ingredients according to your preferences. It's an excellent option for a main course or for using leftover rice from another meal.
