Slice the tomatoes into 12 thin slices. Slice the pickled pearl onions into rounds. Cut the burger buns in half lengthwise and toast them on the cut side in a hot pan over medium heat, without fat, until golden.

Cooking the Bacon and Meat

In the same pan, over medium heat, place the bacon slices. Season them with pepper and sweet paprika. When they turn golden on one side, flip them. After they have browned on the other side, remove them to a plate.

Form 4 flat beef patties, the size of the buns, and season them on both sides with salt and pepper. Place them in the pan with the remaining bacon fat and cook them for 3 minutes over medium heat. Flip them, place a teaspoon of butter on each, and cook for another 2 minutes.
