- 200 g tofu
- 50 ml soy sauce
- 15 g corn starch
- 10 ml lime juice
- 50 ml rapeseed oil
- 50 g green onion
- 10 ml maple syrup
- 10 g sesame seeds
- 15 g garlic
- 10 g chili pepper
Squeeze as much water as possible from the tofu and dry it well with a paper towel. Cut it into large cubes, add starch or flour and coat them well. Heat a large pan, and when hot, pour oil into it. Add the starch-coated tofu pieces to the hot oil and fry them on all sides until golden, stirring occasionally.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Mix the soy sauce with water, maple syrup, lime juice, minced garlic, starch, and finely chopped chili pepper.
3. When the tofu is perfectly fried, remove it from the pan and add the chopped green onion. Sauté it, stirring occasionally, then put the crispy tofu back into the pan. Finally, pour in the sauce and heat for one minute, until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu. Serve sprinkled with green onion and sesame seeds.
