Preheat the oven to 170°C (top and bottom heat). Prepare a 24 cm diameter cake pan and line the bottom with baking paper. You can also use two smaller pans (approx. 20 cm).

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the sugar with the butter and oil, then incorporate the egg yolks one by one.
