Hash Browns sunt chifteluțe de cartofi crocante, un clasic al micului dejun american, acum adaptate pentru bucătăria ta. Se prepară rapid și sunt ideale alături de ouă ochiuri sau bacon.
Preparation method
Peel the potatoes and grate them using a large grater. Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze them very well to remove as much liquid as possible. This step is essential for achieving crispy hash browns.
In a bowl, mix the grated potatoes with the finely chopped onion (if using). Add the egg and flour if you want a more cohesive mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Form flat patties from the mixture (approximately 2-3 tablespoons of mixture for each).
