Preparation method
Preparing the potatoes and mash
Start by boiling the potatoes: peel them, cut them into cubes, and place them in a large pot. Cover them with water and bring to a boil. Salt the water, reduce the heat to medium, cover with a lid, and simmer the potatoes for 15-18 minutes.
Once the potatoes are cooked, drain the water. In a small saucepan, heat the milk together with 20 g of butter for 1-2 minutes, until the butter melts and the milk is hot. Pour the mixture over the boiled potatoes and use an electric mixer to obtain a smooth and creamy mash.
Preparing the meatballs
While the potatoes are boiling, prepare the meatballs. Peel and crush the garlic. In a large bowl, mix the minced beef with the garlic, egg, dried dill, corn breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix the composition well and shape into 16 equal-sized meatballs.
Chef's tip
For extra freshness, you can add a little grated lemon zest to the meatball mixture.
