Preparation method

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, room temperature butter, egg, and a pinch of salt. Knead until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to rest.

Meanwhile, prepare the apple filling: wash the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into thin slices (you can keep the skin for a rustic look). Place the sliced apples in a spacious bowl, add the granulated sugar, pudding powder, cinnamon, and lemon juice, then mix everything well.

Preheat the oven to 170 °C. Prepare a pie dish with a diameter of approximately 24 cm and line it with baking paper. Remove the baking paper from the dish and place it on the work surface.
