Un mic dejun rapid, spectaculos și extrem de gustos, gata în doar 10 minute. Această rețetă transformă banala felie de pâine toast într-un deliciu crocant cu ou ochi moale în interior, perfect pentru diminețile în care vrei ceva special fără prea mult efort. Gălbenușul lichid se îmbină perfect cu pâinea rumenită în unt, oferind o explozie de savoare la fiecare mușcătură.

Preparation method

Using a small knife or a glass, cut out a circle as large as possible in the center of each slice of toast bread, so that the egg fits easily without overflowing.

Melt the butter in a large pan over low heat. Increase the heat to medium and place both the cut-out bread slices and the bread circles in the pan. Fry the bread circles for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Fry the bread slices with the hole for 30-60 seconds, then flip them, reduce the heat to low, and press down gently on them so they stick well to the pan.

Crack an egg directly into the hole of each bread slice. If the egg white starts to leak underneath, quickly press the bread down onto the pan again – this will instantly cook the edge of the egg white, sealing the hole. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 3-5 minutes over low heat, until the egg white is fully set but the yolk remains runny.

Chef's tip

Serve this breakfast with freshly chopped chives and sweet chilli sauce for a delicious contrast. If you want an even richer version, immediately after adding the eggs to the bread, sprinkle grated or finely sliced Gouda cheese on top, then cover with the lid and cook according to the instructions until the cheese melts beautifully.
