O rețetă clasică românească ce transformă cina într-o sărbătoare a gustului. Bucățile fragede de carne de porc sunt înăbușite la foc domol alături de ceapă caramelizată și prune uscate dulci-acrișoare, scăldate într-un sos aromat cu vin alb și foi de dafin. O armonie desăvârșită de arome, perfectă pentru zilele răcoroase de toamnă.

Ingredient preparation
Cut the pork into medium cubes of about 3-4 cm. Peel and finely chop the onion. Rinse the dried prunes with lukewarm water and leave them to drain.
Browning the meat and sautéing
Heat the sunflower oil in a deep pot or Dutch oven. Add the pork pieces and brown them evenly over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Transfer the meat to a plate.
In the same pot, add the chopped onion and a pinch of salt. Sauté over low heat until translucent. Sprinkle with sugar and stir gently for one minute to caramelize the onion and enhance its natural sweetness.
Chef's tip
If the dried prunes are very hard, soak them in lukewarm water for 15 minutes before adding them to the dish.
