O rețetă asiatică rapidă și savuroasă, gata în doar 15 minute: cuburi crocante de tofu îmbrăcate într-o glazură lucioasă de portocale proaspete, ghimbir și sos de soia, presărate cu susan și ceapă verde.
Preparation method
Preparing the ingredients and sauce
Press the tofu block with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes (about 2 cm). Place the tofu cubes in a bowl, sprinkle with half of the cornstarch (15 g), and gently toss until all pieces are evenly coated in a thin layer.
Finely grate the zest of one orange and squeeze the juice from both oranges (about 100-120 ml). In a small bowl, combine the orange juice and zest with the soy sauce, honey, crushed garlic, finely grated ginger, sesame oil, and the remaining cornstarch (15 g). Whisk well until the starch and honey are completely dissolved.
Wok cooking
Heat a tablespoon of sunflower oil in a wok or deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the cornstarch-coated tofu cubes in a single layer and fry for 5-7 minutes, turning them on all sides until golden and crispy. Transfer the tofu cubes to a plate.
Chef's tip
For the crispiest tofu, do not overcrowd the wok while frying. If using a smaller wok, fry the tofu cubes in two batches.
The sauce thickens very quickly due to the cornstarch, so keep the heat at medium and add the tofu as soon as the glaze becomes glossy.
