Ingredients

  • 110 g of soft butter
  • 50 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 pc of egg yolk
  • 140 g of superior white wheat flour 000
  • 10 g of vanilla powder
  • 50 g of ground walnut kernels
  • 5 g of salt

Instructions

    Finely grind the walnuts and mix them with the sugar, flour, vanilla, and salt. Add the butter cut into pieces and the egg yolk, and knead until you get a smooth and slightly sticky dough. Wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking tray with baking paper. From the dough, form two long rolls, then cut them with a knife into equal pieces. From each piece, roll small cylinders, which you then shape into crescents.

    Once the tray is full, place it in the refrigerator for another 10 minutes, so the dough can firm up. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes, until the crescents are lightly browned.

    Let them cool slightly on the tray and, while still warm, roll them in powdered sugar mixed with vanilla. If they break, let them cool a bit more before rolling them. Enjoy!
