Preparation method

Peel the onion, garlic, potatoes, and carrots. Finely chop the onion, crush the garlic, and cut the potatoes and carrots into small cubes.

In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.

Add the crushed garlic to the pot with the onion and sauté for another 30-60 seconds, stirring continuously to prevent the garlic from burning.
Chef's tip
For a richer taste, you can replace the water with vegetable broth. Serve with crispy croutons or a slice of toasted whole wheat bread.
