Preparation method
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle (or use a pre-rolled one). With a pizza cutter, cut the long side edges into strips approximately 2 cm wide, at a 45-degree angle. Leave a whole central strip, approximately 10 cm wide. On this central strip, place the baby spinach, then season with salt and white pepper.
Cut the Halloumi cheese into cubes and quickly brown it in a pan until crispy. Add the cheese over the spinach, followed by the pine nuts and slices of prosciutto crudo.
Braid the strudel by bringing the side strips over the filling, twisting them slightly and overlapping them in the middle. Brush the strudel with the beaten egg and sprinkle a little more white pepper on top.
Chef's tip
For a more intense flavor, lightly toast the pine nuts in a dry pan before adding them to the strudel.
