Preparation method

Preheat the oven to 220 °C (top and bottom heat).

Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of about 3 mm. Using a knife or a pastry wheel, cut the dough into strips about 3 cm wide along the shorter side.

Wash the asparagus, dry it well, and remove the woody part from the base by snapping or cutting.

Chef's tip

For extra flavor, you can spread a thin layer of pesto on the pastry strips before rolling them onto the asparagus.
